Yesterday

Yesterday evening, we went to the video shoot for Carbonated from Mount Kimbie. It was sooo exciting. The whole shooting was a party, where also Jamie from the XX was dj ing (and later he even joined the party). Omg, before going there I was so nervous that I had to calm myself with Starburst candies :)) Anyway, the whole evening was really cool, one guy from Mount Kimbie even offered me a sip from his whiskey. Later we were dancing next to the Jamie (... yeah yeah, not with him, just next to him ... so desperate :D).  Uihiii....  I felt like in a movie... I am already excited about the whole video.... (btw it was taken by Tyrone Lebon).

Cigan (Gypsy)

I have a very special reltionship to Slovak "gypsies". Through  the summer volunteering in the settlements, I have come to a closer touch with them. I have to tell that I like the Roma kids, Roma stories (cause they are so diffent from those ones I usually hear), the Roma culture (music, dancing...), their sense of humor ( hahaha)... But still, I know that the whole Slovak Roma question is a quite complex and complicated topic. I am writing about it, cause I am extremely looking forward to the new Slovak movie "Cigan" (= "Gypsy").  According to the reviews, it is supposed to be really good. I have to wait for it till I return from London... so during the first August week uihiii.....

From trip to Brigton

We were just eating, walking, sunbathing (and got burned ... in ENGLAND... lol). Brighton s nothing special for me, though I was APPY APPY APPY (french accent) to see the sea side. Yeah. The crazy English people were even swimming in that cold water, I managed to go in until my knees. Brrrrr

Finding vs. loosing

Lucia has been living in London for a while and she was always finding staff on the street, in a bin, actually wherever. For those ones, who do not know - klick this link dumpestring.
Some of my friends are quite active dumster divers. Honestly, I am not such an extreme in these things, but still I am a big fan of the whole idea.  I do not mind loosing something, cause I believe in the cycle of thinks and I believe I will find something else the other day.

Last Sunaday evening we took a walk through the Bricklane area. On one of the streets,  near some bin I found really nice shoes. I could not believe it, those shoes looked almost like new and someone threw them away. I took them home and gave them a proper look, took a bit care of them ( yes a bit of glue was necessary). It literallly took me no longer than 10 minutes of work and they were like new. If you take a look on the neverending mass production (overproduction ???), maybe after bit thinking you can realise that thinks sometimes need a second chance.
